Microsoft x Goldsmiths

This is an investigation into how AI reshapes human decision-making, focusing on judgment, fairness, and bias through interactive experiments and chatbot dialogues. This is a project briefed and assessed by Microsoft.

Through a range of experiments, we reache a conclusion that ultimately, it is still humans who make the decisions, even when we asked for AI’s help. Although AI may appear to "think," its responses are shaped entirely by the prompts we provide. Since our language carries subjectivity, talking to AI is essentially talking to ourselves. It is a reflection of our conscious and unconscious thoughts. These models cannot truly decide, but they can act as mirrors that help us articulate and confront our own ideas. To extend this reflection, I designed an interactive card set that turns the project’s logic into a tangible experience, reminding people that while AI can assist in decision-making, it should never replace human judgment.
