The Artificial Womb - The Cradle

The Cradle: Your only gateway to the unconscious experience.

This is a psychological case study presented by IHD (Institute of Human Development) in 2103.

“In the last years of the 2040s, the people of Nidra city were facing a crisis caused by the inescapable artificial lighting.  Due to environmental and neurological shifts, people lost their natural ability to fall asleep.

2053 came and SOMA-Tech stepped in with what they proposed as a phenomenal invention: The Cradle, a device that could, supposedly restore sleep.

The Cradle was a device engineered to induce unconsciousness through a gentle yet persistent rotational motion. This rotation, reminiscent of an infant being rocked, claimed to mimic the safety of a womb-like state.

SOMA-Tech positioned itself as the ultimate provider of safety, a kind of corporate ‘Mother’.

During investigation, IHD uncovered fragments of dismantled Cradle devices abandoned in a SOMA-Tech warehouse, revealing hidden modifications and unapproved mechanical components.”
